The world’s cheekiest toilet-paper brand, Who Gives A Crap, launches its first global campaign 'Uncrap the World’, which was created by 72andSunny/Sydney, with a film directed by Stefan Hunt through Exit Films.

Every day 1 million trees are destroyed to make traditional toilet paper. Something an estimated 62 per cent of the population don’t realise.

Who Gives A Crap is on a mission to change that with a new campaign that’s a call to arms – and bums – to switch to using its Earth-friendly toilet paper, which is made from 100 per cent recycled or bamboo fibres.

The product not only protects forests but the brand also donates 50 per cent of its profits to clean water and sanitation initiatives.

Maria Chilewicz, Who Gives A Crap’s Head of Brand Management commented: “While people are feeling overwhelmed by the climate doom and gloom, facing a new climate issue every day, we wanted to bring some light and cheekiness to a heavy topic. Big change can start from something as small as sitting on the loo.”

Luke Martin, ECD of 72andSunny’s Australia team says, “Since talking to people’s heads hadn’t really worked so far, we thought maybe it was time we tried to convince the other end of town to take a stand, or in this case, sit down for change.”

Previously sold only direct to client, Who Gives A Crap is expanding its retail options, with rolls now available in 240 Waitrose supermarket stores across the UK.
