The travel company’s inaugural Super Bowl Sunday ad was created in-house with LA agency Horses & Mules and features the award-winning British actor, filmmaker and musician celebrating the simplicity of the brand’s modus operandi.

Elba appears in a variety of holiday locations while extolling the no-nonsense virtues of a booking company that gives itself the name ‘booking’. The ad, titled in similar plain-speaking style as Idris Elba Says Things, was directed by Tim Godsall through Anonymous Content.

Explaining that easy vacation arranging is of greater value than branding, Elba admits that booking.com isn’t that “sexy”.

The same cannot be said of him in a sauna.

The spot will air during the game's fourth quarter and will be accompanied by a sweepstake, during which Booking.com will be giving away up to half a million dollars in vacations.
