WEWEREMONKEYS go to Wars with Of Monsters and Men

We're not saying that writing, directing and producing duo WEWEREMONKEYS (Mihai Wilson and Marcella Moser) have terrifying nightmares, but, if we were them, we might hold off from eating cheese before bed.

Creating a series of playfully horrific visuals for Of Monsters and Men's latest track Wars, the pair's tale of a dark organism abducting five unsuspecting band members and dropping them into a colourful otherworld haunted by mischievous oddballs plays out as much for shocked giggles as it does for gory grue.

As the band put it, “The visuals for our album FEVER DREAM are inspired by otherworldly, dreamy, horror-esque themes. For the Wars video we wanted to continually build on those themes while also keeping it carefree and fun. 

"Wars is about the war between your conscious and your subconscious and the video captures what it's like to be pulled between those two worlds.”
