Norwegian postal service Posten takes a satirical approach to its seasonal advertising in this hilarious Christmas campaign, created by POL and directed by Kasper Häggström through Bacon.
Shot in the style of a dramatic Netflix documentary, the clever short film, titled The Reinfall, blends fake interviews and archival footage to portray the rise to fame, and consequent fall-out, of Santa’s celebrity reindeer (who also happen to just be human men wearing antlers, but this slight inaccuracy only adds to its comedic charm).
“This time, we wanted to shift the focus away from Santa and onto those who share our job of delivering gifts. While we won’t interfere with the North Pole’s operations, we are proud to show that Posten has delivered faithfully every Christmas since 1647 – no matter how things are going up North” explains Hege Barbara Aarhus, Campaign Manager at Posten.
