It takes a lot to make insurance interesting, but with their latest campaign for Roojai Online, BBDO Bangkok certainly know how to draw attention.

Taking a pair of seemingly unrelated insights - that the loud noises and FX in modern ads can damage our ears, and that green colours with wavelengths of 505 to 550 nanometres can actually relax the nervous system - the creative team has crafted a pair of enjoyably mad spots that aim to help us with these ongoing issues.

Directed with surreal aplomb by Factory 01's Un-Wuthisak Anarkaporn, garnering hilarious performances from actors and kangaroos alike, the Ads That Save You campaign is an oddball treat that can't easily be ignored.

"Our team has never sounded nerdier than when we spent a week discussing green shades in nanometres," noted Thasorn Boonyanate, BBDO Bangkok's Chief Creative Officer.

"[For the second spot,] we decided to record whispering voiceovers with a binaural microphone, the first time ever in Thailand. Although the voice seemed lower, the volume is the same as you'd find in a regular ad as to avoid people thinking their phone, laptop, or TV is broken.".
