Created by Revolt for The Diana Award, which runs the UK’s largest bullying prevention programme, this powerful spot depicts the darker reality of school life for the millions of children who will be returning to education this autumn.

Made in partnership with Agile Films and directed by Lucy Bridger, the powerful hero film mimics the typically bright and happy style of back-to-school advertising while showing a young boy being victimised by bullies as he enters school.

The campaign responds to the shocking data from a survey in which half of the children taking part said the thought of returning to school makes them anxious, and 68 per cent of them stated the typical breezy back-to-school adverts don't reflect their own experiences.

The wider #BackToBullying campaign includes an installation that stunned shoppers at London's Westfield Stratford retail centre – it featured child mannequins in new uniforms posed in scenes of bullying, such as being punched or tripped up by other pupils.
