In its first international installment, Apple's Made on iPad campaign has enlisted the talents of Korean webtoon artist, Namon, to create a colourful, mesmeric promo for Korean American musician, Jay Park.
Pushing the creative boundaries of iPad Pro by illustrating the entire webtoon-inspired promo on it, Bite, and its accompanying making-of, sees Namon and director Kyu Ha Kim illustrating a digital comic using Mental Canvas, an iPad app that turns 2D drawings into 3D webtoon images.
The result, from agency TBWA\Media Arts Lab Seoul and production company PlanIt, is an interesting piece of content that succeeds in both of its endeavours; as an impressive product demo and a piece of entertaining art in its own right.
