Created by Droga5 London and directed by Traktor, through Stink UK, Love Football. Intimately sees Crouch and ex-ref Mark Clattenburg star as leading men in a witty spot that pays homage to two great films – American Beauty and Dirty Dancing.
Crouchy gets frisky with a corner flag, while the famed former World Cup referee Clattenburg embodies ‘Baby’ from Dirty Dancing as the two legends collide for the love of those exhilarating moments that occur during a match.
“It’s a nostalgic, romcom-tastic tale of romance, fantasy and our unwavering true love for all parts of football – if Harry Met Sally at a Spurs match,” says Paddy Power Brand and Marketing Director Michelle Spillane.
Post-production house nineteentwenty crafted a blend of in-camera and digital SFX to create a film that’s cinematic and dreamy without being too fantastical.
