Ahead of the release of their new album, Cracker Island, the British virtual band has released this fantastically macabre music video for their latest track, Silent Running, directed FX Goby and Gorillaz artist Jamie Hewlett through Nexus Studios.

As the film opens, we see that the gang are up to their usual trouble and have, yet again, got themselves into a situation a little far out of their depth.

In a dark, candlelit mansion house surrounded by cloaked cult members, 2-D is on the cusp of being sacrificed to a grisly, cave-dwelling demon, and it’s up to the others to save him. Luckily, Murdoc's home-brewed, pyrotechnic potion comes in handy in helping them make a quick escape.

Combining the band’s signature style of animation mixed with live action footage, exceptional prosthetics, and an impressive attention to detail, the story is a prequel to a previously released promo for Cracker Island, a track from their last album, where we see the characters in the aftermath of the event.
