Making a statement on recycling and sustainability, Fretex turns regular people, and their former wardrobes, into runway-ready fashion lines.
Clever and fun, this fashion film with a twist focuses on people who are obsessed with the newest ‘drop’ from their favorite fashion houses. The twist: the designers and influencers they’re obsessed with are just regular people. We meet Joren, Konstance, and Kamal, who simply donate their old clothes to Fretex in order to make a second-hand article feel new again.
Merging parody and earnestness, You x Fretex is a statement on sustainability and vintage fashion. Eivind Landsvik mixes aesthetics and humor, toying with the evaporating distinction between high fashion and vintage. Take it from 70-year-old Jorun: "Anyone who knows a thing or two about fashion knows that things go in and out of style." The film is produced by Bacon and made with Anorak as agency.
