Created by The Newtons Laboratory for EDSNA (the The Region of Attica and the Association of Municipalities of Attica), this clever campaign, titled Trash Shopping, draws attention to the environmental and financial impact of food waste.
The 36-second spot, directed by Nicholas Alavanos through Filmiki, sees a shopper packing his bags at the supermarket, but instead of taking all of his food home, he instantly throws half of it into a black rubbish sack.
Subtly driving home its hard-hitting message, the campaign draws attention to the often-ignored source of the issue - our shopping baskets - to highlight how wasteful habits affect both our wallets and the planet.
