“We’ve been hidden and silenced but we’ve never been gone,” declaims a Zoey Roy, an indigenous poet whose moving words power this beautiful film.
Directed by Shaunoh Anderson, through TSU North/Circle Productions, the film, Right The Story, was created in collaboration with agency Sid Lee and Sephora Canada. A sensitive portrayal of women finding their voice, the campaign aims to portray a modernised view of First Nations peoples and empower Indigenous youth on all fronts.
The signature lipstick featured in the film, Aki Red, will have a limited edition launch in Sephora stores, with a portion of each sale donated to support Indigenous youth education.
