In these oddly funny spots, directed by Tessa Kadletz through production company Das Rund, acclaimed Austrian theatre actor and TV star Nicholas Ofczarek gives a bravura and totally bonkers turn expressing different aspects of wine.
Unusually for a wine ad, there is no actual wine on display, instead, Ofczarek exhibits the characters of six of the greatest wines from Burgenland's DAC wine-growing region – using purely his acting skills.
Embodying qualities that oenophiles use, such as ‘raw’, ‘edgy’ and ‘velvety’, he most bizarrely depicts 'flintiness' by actually chewing down on a piece of flint.
