Taking its distinctive illustrative style and bringing it to the small screen, Beavertown Brewery's first TV work is a glorious slice of animated life.
Setting itself around real-life stories of happy boozing, A Good Night Out sees a fascinating collaboration between directors Ed Morris and Alice Bloomfield, in which the former's filmed candid interviews are given a brand makeover by the animator.
Created through Like Minded Individuals, and produced by Riff Raff Films and Black Dog Films, the spot is a lovely homage to the Creature Comfort ads of yore; taking creative director Nick Dwyer's now ubiquitous stylings and grounding them in authenticiyty.
“‘As a designer," comments Dwyer, "my aim was to visually capture the essence of human connection and shared experiences. By capturing the unique personalities of the people involved, and animating them in our signature style, we've crafted a visual narrative that resonates with sincerity and charm. I'm really excited to see how it inspires others to celebrate life's meaningful moments”.
