If you've ever commuted to and from work by rail then you'll doubtless be familiar with train delays and the stress that they can cause. But how does that stress translate if you have autism?
This new spot for the National Autistic Society (NAS) was released today, the first day of World Autism Awareness Week, and it follows Saskia, an autistic actor, as she experiences sensitivities after unexpected changes to her train journey.
Alongside the film, which was created by Don't Panic and directed by Knucklehead's Charlotte Regan, NAS has released new statistics which demonstrate the everyday challenges some autistic people face, including that 75 per cent of autistic people say that unexpected changes, such as train diversions, make them feel socially isolated. Diverted forms part of NAS’s Too Much Information campaign which encourages the public to find out more about autism.
