Created by Uncommon and directed by BLINKINK’s Jesse James McElroy, this fantastical, mixed media campaign sees the world of Supercell mobile game Clash Royale come to life in high school science lesson.
The film, titled The Clashroom, sees a teacher introducing his pupils to Clash Royale characters, which suddenly come alive from the whiteboard screen as he's talking and demonstrate their icy, slimy and fiery powers.
The entertaining story is realised through a blend of VFX and playful practical effects, using physical elements including ice, green slime and arrows before enhancing them in post. Characters were also built practically wherever possible, giving the action a tangible quality as the classroom descends into chaos.
