Directed by Tim James Brown though Honey Badger, this new track for the indie/alt-country band Young Martyrs takes its inspiration from the recent Artemis II mission to the far side of the moon.
Released to coincide with the mission, the track, called Is There Anybody Out There? is inspired by humanity’s return to deep space and draws on the vast silence of the far side of the moon, with the song exploring a question as old as humanity itself: are we truly alone?
Beneath its cosmic backdrop, the single carries a deeper undercurrent of love and loss, capturing the emotional weight of distance, disconnection and longing and, much like drifting in a vacuum, it reflects the feeling of being cut off and searching for connection in the emptiness of space and humanity.
