They say beauty is skin deep, and as there is nothing uglier than a planet trashed by toxic overload and climate chaos, this promotion of clean energy is a beauteous thing to behold.
With her tongue firmly in her glowing cheeks, Delevigne promotes Vattenfall’s Industrial Emissions Face Mist, in a campaign created by NORD DDB, with a slick spoof beauty film directed by Jocelyn & Dawn, through Biscuit Filmworks
Aiming to highlight the potential of fossil-free hydrogen to power industries, the face mist is made entirely from industrial waste water resulting from the production of steel using fossil-free hydrogen.
When used hydrogen emits water instead of carbon dioxide, producing emissions that are so clean they can be squirted all over the face in a mist here described as “systemic change in a 50ml bottle”.
Paul Morel, Vattenfall Brand Campaign Manager, commented: Recognising Cara’s important voice as a climate advocate, we believe the partnership is perfect to raise awareness of fossil-free hydrogen. We need to keep finding new ways to reach and connect with different audiences to demonstrate the progress of fossil-free living. This is a new way for us to send a message in an unexpected way.
Although the face mist is not intended to be a commercial beauty product for sale, as part of the initiative, a limited number of bottles have been produced as proof of the purity of the emissions.
