Soup Films spotlights emerging Ukrainian talent

This wonderfully stylish and playful promo for Ukranian music artist To Eternity’s catchy track, For Honey, is the passion project of emerging, self-taught director Tetiana Ladychenko, brought to life by Soup Films. 

The director, whose studies at film school were cut short by the outbreak of war in her home country, now creates music and fashion videos from Berlin. 

Ladychenko initially approached To Eternity’s manager with a vision for the music video. They liked her idea and agreed to shoot the film. She then enlisted the help of cinematographer Marco Schott, who recommended she get in touch with Soup Film. The production company immediately saw her talent and supported the project both financially and through its connections. 

Shot during one day in Berlin Lichtenberg, with a full Ukrainian cast and partial Ukrainian crew, the film combines fantastically retro art direction, some questionably nostalgic fashion choices, and comedic choreography to tell the story of a turbulent relationship.
