Not since the before McCallister's ill-fated trip in Home Alone have so many family members been portrayed in a Christmas get-together on screen.
Presenting the warts (and sick, and poo, and wee, and gravy, and other muck) and all experience of a classic festive feast, AMV BBDO and Somesuch x Revolver director Steve Rogers' genuinely LOL-worthy spot for Plenty does not hold back.
Puntastically titled Xmess, the spot not only gives us a good look at the grubbiness the festivities bring, but also sprinkles a charming dusting of love over the whole thing, showing that, despite the annoyances, we probably wouldn't change a thing.
“I just felt that Christmas is rarely represented as it really is," explains Rogers, "and I thought this was a wonderful opportunity to be a little more honest. The odd thing is, that for most of us, despite the madness, we keep going back for more, year after year. It’s a strange and masochistic reflection of our deep familial love.”
