If you're lucky enough to know some Thai people, you'll know that despite having fabulous, temple monk-bestowed names at birth, you're much more likely to call them by an informal nickname.
Over time, English names have begun to blend into this tradition, resulting in names like Pancake (A famous Thai actress) and Nescafe (a renowned Thai singer). Yet one name reigns supreme: Benz.
Taking this truism and creating an adorable doc from it is TeamXThailand's In The Name of Benz film for the brand's Thai Motor Show 2024 experience, in which a series of characters reveal how they picked up the unique (or not so unique) nickname.
"Believe it or not," Thasorn (Pete) Boonyanate, Chief Creative Officer at TeamXThailand, quips, "in Thailand, everybody must have at least one Thai friend named 'Benz'."...
