It's a quest that even Thor might thumb his perfectly proportioned nose at, as a father goes on an epic journey to deliver his daughter's letter to Santa Claus.

Helmed by the director of Jojo Rabbit, Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Thor Ragnarok, The Letter was shot in New Zealand last month, with Hungry Man's Taika Waititi directing remotely from Los Angeles due to coronavirus restrictions.

The two-and-a-half minute film, created by Wieden+Kennedy London, features a father being given a letter for Santa by his daughter as he heads off to work in a very remote location. Dad - as dad's are wont to do - forgets about the important missive until he spies the sea-faring postman and sets off to hand over the crucial document. Events, though, conspire against him and he's left with a long and gruelling journey though some spectacular landscapes to the North Pole and Santa's Grotto.
