John C Reilly celebrates the big picture

Created by Ogilvy Chicago, this affectionate campaign for the Chicago International Film Festival is enhanced by John C Reilly’s warm-hearted vocals.

The longest-running competitive film festival in North America, CIFF marks its 60th anniversary this year. 

This is the agency's seventh year of promoting CIFF and not only is the hero spot, Movies That Move You, an homage to cinema, with clips from all manner of genres and cinematic styles, it’s also a shout out to the actors directors and crew who create the magic and the film fans and volunteers who make the festival. 

There’s a nostalgic nod too to the Second City itself, referencing the infamous S Curve of the Lake Shore Drive, the old stockyards, and the Spindle ‘car kebab’ sculpture.
