Titled Rainy Day, this engaging ad, created by McCann NY and directed by Björn Rühmann through Smuggler, imagines a world of missing middles.
An umbrella with a large hole; a bifurcated dog; a bus of two halves; a gappy grin glimpsed on a poster – all such amusing items with no centre cleverly add interest – note the fiscal punning – to a product that’s not overly exciting in itself.
In the stock market, mid caps, as their name implies, comprise companies with market value in the middle of the spectrum. Investors often assume that if they own both large and small caps, they have broad exposure to the market – meaning they have covered the entire scale of the market. But without mid caps in their portfolio, they don’t.
Capiche? Whatever, the middle-less mutt is still funny.
