A psychological study from The Journal of Neuroscience in 2014 found taste to be a trigger of related memories. This spot, created by Highdive Chicago, directed by Evan Goldberg, through Caviar LA uses crisps as the triggering flavour for the two friends.

For Rudd and Rogen, it is the wonderful taste of Lay's that reminds them of all their great times together, always with a shared packet of crisps between them.

The pairs’ adventures range from a road trip in the 90s, being kidnapped and asking if the kidnapper has any BBQ crisps, to defeating a gang in a final kick aided by a packet of Lay's.

The humorous commercial highlights the pairs long-term Hollywood friendship and echoes the anecdotes shared between them over Twitter and in TV interviews.
