BBH USA’s new spot uses epic VFX to illustrate how opposing parties can come together due to the wonder of Samsung Galaxy’s Quick Share feature.
Directed by Adam Berg, through SMUGGLER, the 60-second film, Sharing Brings Us Closer, tells the story of two young friends stuck at their parents’ stuffy holiday parties on either side of a street.
Thanks to their Samsung devices, they find a powerful way to unite, illustrated by their respective houses literally breaking free from their foundations and huddling up.
The cinematography by Berg’s long-time collaborator, DP Linus Sandgren, (who won an Oscar for La La Land) gives the charming film a rich cinematic quality.
The production took place in Prague over the course of ten days, during which time the production partners took advantage of a huge set to built two massive ‘apartment buildings’, each weighing 16 tons, that could be moved closer together.
The score deploys a rendition of an Elvis classic, If I Can Dream, given a contemporary twist from Squeak E. Clean music.
