Bold director Ezra Hurwitz, together with Max Bartick, has created a lyrical film for NYCB following the evolution of a ballet created by the company's Principal Dancer Tiler Peck.
Set to the scintillating titular score by Francis Poulenc and boasting sumptuous costume design by Zac Posen, the film features dramatic edits and sound design from Cal Laird, with DP Peter Pascucci shooting on film as part of Kodak’s shoot film initiative.
Hurwitz has an emotional connection with the piece – he trained and danced professionally with NYCB before an injury pushed him into directing.
