Dreams are weird. Talking about dreams is weirder. Shooting an ad about talking about dreams is weirdest.
Thankfully, though, Nike isn't adverse to the weird, so in this fun spot announcing their collaboration with streetwear brand Stüssy, a descent into the surreal feels totally normal.
Dynamically shot with extreme close ups and bold colour pop-outs by Massif's Marc Sidelsky, Weird's low-key performances and enjoyably droll copy makes for a tantalizing journey into one man's snooze-story.
Not shy of showcasing the new line, the spot acts both as a alluring lookbook and Buñuel-courting narrative. In fact, the only thing that's missing is the obvious endline: "...and when I woke up, my pillow was gone.". Weird.
