This beautiful story of loss, love and the familial bond is as much an advert for the power of the natural world as it is for the brand.
In order to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of iPlace, Apple's premium reseller in Brazil, director Felipe Blankenheim and production house Dogs Can Fly have created a touching film, The Journey, that follow’s a son’s mission to help his grieving dad during a camping trip.
The story, created by agency Morya, sees the pair trudging through misty forests, splashing in waterfalls, and gazing on canyons and campfires, all of which gradually enable the father to move away from maudlin inner thoughts and relax into the sensual joys of interacting with nature.
The son has recreated a sentimental journey (with the help of various Apple products) that ultimately produces the totes emosh desired effect, helping his dad access his grief while simultaneously reawakening his affection for his son.
The film was shot over four days in the lush canyons of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, with the feels augmented by a poignant original score from Studio Tésis.
By the time the coronaworld-referencing tagline lands – ‘here’s to reuniting soon’ – you’ll find your heartstrings have been well and truly tugged and, if applicable, your mascara might well be running.
