The animated world is a strange place, the laws of physics, or even common sense don’t often apply.
Is, for example, the role of chef a necessarily good career option for an onion? What if a recipe calls upon cook to slice up members of their own family?
Leaving such issues as vegetable self-slaughter (vegi-cide?) aside, Clara, created by El Ruso de Rocky and directed by Rafael Cano Mendez through Able & Baker, relates the tale of an onion chef who faces the closure of the restaurant where she works, and with it, the end of her dreams.
The cutlery brand launched the series to promote its range of affordable knifes and to celebrate all those anonymous chefs who have weathered two difficult years and reinvented themselves to survive.
The beautifully animated film has nice touches, such as percussive music that echoes the onion’s chopping of its veggie friends and a there's a surprising revelation at the end – we won't say anymore, though; that's shallot!
