Directed by David Gaspar for the gourmet Spanish food brand, this sleepy spot follows the discovery of a woman visiting her friend in Spain and learning about the meaning of siestas.
Described as a “tiny night in the middle of the day,” the Mediterranean version of a power nap presents an alternative to the idea of constant striving.
She had always believed in the American Dream: “If you work hard enough, you’ll eventually get the life you want.” But Spain offers her a different perspective — a way of achieving your goals via having a spot of shut eye; by allowing yourself a little Spanish Dream.
The director commented: "Siesta Co. was born in Los Angeles, founded by a Spanish couple. They and I share something very fundamental: all three of us grew up in the same Mediterranean town, Corinto, in Sagunto, Spain. We share very similar memories, a particular way of experiencing summer, food, family, and the pleasure of slowing down. In that sense, the essence of the brand feels very familiar to me."
