This comedic spot, directed by Camila Zapiola through Stink, stars a young man who apprehensively presents his Uncle Chris with a Christmas gift, which he selected using Macy’s ‘Gift Finder’ tool.
His uncle opens the box, revealing a Cineplay All-In-One Home Theater projector, acknowledges the present with a gruff nod, and immediately excuses himself.
Although the nephew seems disappointed by his uncle’s reaction to the carefully chosen gift, Chris's wife reassures the young man that his subdued reaction was actually his version of enthusiastic gushing. The campaign aims to highlight the effectiveness of the department store’s new online tool, which helps shoppers find the ideal gift for everyone on their list.
