In terms of cinematic oeuvre, actor Kyle MacLachlan isn't afraid to take a walk on the wild side, but in this latest campaign for Arby's, he might have even out-weirded Twin Peaks...

Promoting the return of the chain's much-loved Potato Cakes, Fallon's latest sees MacLachlan establish The Order of Potato Cakes; a not-so-secret organisation developed to recognise the omens of the snack's arrival.

In a witty initial spot, The Uncovering, a desperate MacLachlan is seen pleading for his dinner, only for the 'truth' to be revealed in a nearby thicket. Its follow-up, The Orientation, introduces consumers (and spud-stans) to the movement behind the meal's revival.

“As a Potato Cakes devotee myself, I'm proud to enlighten all Potato Cakes lovers about the return of our cherished menu item," said Kyle MacLachlan, leader of Arby's newly founded Order of Potato Cakes. "We've been waiting three long years, and our voices have finally been heard. Potato Cakes are back at Arby's thanks to The Powers that Beef!"

Directed by Emma Debany through JHF Productions, and carrying a delicious throughline of absurdity, the films make great use of MacLachlan's manic energy and comedic chops.

In addition to the item itself, Arby's will also offer a variety of bespoke, limited-edition merch items created specifically for The Order, including a Potato Cake Amber Necklace, Potato Cake Candle, an enamel pin, and official garb of The Order in the form of a t-shirt and hoodie.
