With the help of director Talya Galasko through Mercy, natural chewing gum brand Milliways has launched this charmingly tongue-in-cheek campaign ahead of Valentine’s Day.
The spot features a man who wakes up in a vibrant, entirely plastic world, and spends his day preparing for a big date. We see him constantly chewing on plastic gum, wearing plastic clothes, and preparing colourful plastic food. When his date finally arrives, we see that she, too, is a plastic mannequin.
He stares at her for a moment, in awe of her beauty, when her head suddenly rolls off. The film cleverly ends with the message: “Some things shouldn’t be made from plastic. Like your chewing gum”.
