Filmmaker Ezra Hurwitz has directed a delightfully debauched spot to celebrate Miami City Ballet’s upcoming 40th anniversary.
Shot in Miami, the film was produced by Run Da Show, in collaboration with the opulent Versace mansion of South Beach. Built in 1930, the 19,000-square-foot mansion serves as perfect backdrop to the decadent revelry.
With a nod to Dali’s surrealism – all swans and lobster telephones – the film sees the dancers frolic to the Johann Strauss II classic waltz, Blue Danube, amid extravagant sets and outfits designed by Danny Santiago, who styled the costumes for the upcoming The Devil Wears Prada 2. Note the gorgeous cinematography by Johanser Martinez.
