I spent many many years trying to make my mind fit my body, but ended up making my body fit my mind,” says Martina one of the subjects of this fine collection of films from agency RanaVerse, directed by PRETTYBIRD’s Jess Kohl.
Along with AJ and Kai, Martina expresses the relief experienced by trans people who are able to become who they always wanted to be.
Part of Unilever’s United We Stand campaign, they gleefully explore the rich tapestry of queer British life; exploring alongside gender and sexuality, race, age and geography.
Millie relates how her family have supported and accepted her as a lesbian, giving her self-confidence. “Everyone should be confident cos everyone’s an awesome person,” she says.
As the first South Asian gay couple to be married in Bradford, Amir and Aamir are like peas in a pod; so close they even have the same name.
Unilever and Superdrug are continuing to support the Switchboard LGBTQ+ helpline to provide a safe space for the community to discuss anything, including sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and emotional well-being.
