Nando's may have stolen the 'cheeky' crown, but everyone knows the sassy lunch choice of winners is a sly Maccy-Ds.

Taking this truism and making it into a 'thing' is Leo Burnett's barnstorming Raise The Arches spot for McDonald's. Following a gaggle of office workers as they march en-masse to the local burger joint, the film has them wiggling their eyebrows in a knowing manner to draw in fellow munchers.

Directed with truckloads of glee by Moxie Pictures' (and, y'know, Hollywood's) Edgar Wright and employing the talents of regular collaborators Marcus Rowland, Jake Polonsky, and Jenny White; this rhythmically-driven rip-roarer not only cements the fact that the director simply HAS to direct a movie musical soon, but also adds a new move to the pantheon of ad-inspired communal gestures.

"We were beyond excited to work with the brilliant Edgar Wright to bring this idea to life," explains Chaka Sobhani, Chief Creative Officer at Leo Burnett UK and Global. "From the visual look and feel he creates to what he does with music and choreography, he’s got that knack of making work that grabs your attention for all the right reasons.

"We’re always looking at ways to raise a smile and create big populist entertainment for Maccers and in the hands of Edgar, we hope we’ve created something that does both.”
