Ed Sheeran’s newest music video, Put It All On Me, profiles micro-moments in love and wonder around the world, featuring real couples dancing.
As we travel the world, Put it All on Me looks in on couples who have been together a few months, a few years, or most of their lives. Teenagers hold hands, a ballerina pushes a pram, and octogenarians do a lively salsa. Under each scene is a vignette of each couple, people who were separated by borders, missed connections, and hidden feelings. Culminating with a special announcement, the video is a tribute to someone whom Sheeran loves very, very much.
Each dance is candid and natural, and it feels authentic. The diversity of couples, people, and places is uplifting and unfiltered. Directed by Jason Koenig (and produced by Jenny Koenig), Put It All On Me is sincere and succinct, keeping the message simple and the viewers empathetic.
