Influencers might feel like a new thing in the age of social media, but celebs have been inspiring us with their thoughts for years. Some even manage to do it after death...
Digitally resurrecting legendary Spanish singer and actress Lola Flores (1923-1995), popular beer brand Cruzcampo and Ogilvy Spain have roped her in as the (posthumous) face of Con Mucho Acento (Heavily Accented), their latest statement of intent.
Speaking to new generations about the importance of taking pride in your roots, the digi-Flores is the astounding result of over 5,000 collected images and videos of the artist, alongside a lengthy post-production process, involving her daughters, also artists, Lolita and Rosario, and utilising AI to nail Flores’ voice, face and expressions.
The result is a slightly unnerving but certainly stirring speech, compounded by a montage that brings to life [dark pun intended] the comments contained within.
