From a living room with African prints to a business meeting conducted in Japanese, The Pride of London shows fans all over the world - and the city.
The film shows different families, friends, and businesses, each with their own traditions, opinions, and favorite players. Each setting has people speaking in a different language, with different cultural markers. Then the camera pulls back, goes outside, or follows them to the balcony where we see that every one of them is in London, not Brazil, India, or Italy.
The Pride of London is beautifully shot with the help of production company, Insider, Outsider's sports division, and their director Tom Day, who is well known for his sports ads. This piece focuses on the fans, the feeling, and the camaraderie of the FC, more so than the prowess of the players.
