Director Milo Blake helms this moving and entrancing promo through Spindle for British artist Oscar Jerome’s contemplative song, The Fork.
Set against striking, atmospheric landscapes, the music video sees the artist excavating a buried head containing a reel of footage symbolic of his life's memories and experiences. In just under five minutes of breathtaking imagery, Blake captures Jerome’s deeply personal and metaphorical journey of rebirth and self-reflection.
The director added: "The film is a surrealist fable that explores re-birth, memory and existentialism inspired by Oscar’s own spiritual journey which he was gracious enough to give me the responsibility to articulate visually. I wanted to take the imagery of a man wandering a vast epic landscape combined with the symbols of films and cinema to be a metaphor for the process of introspection.”
Each of us carry a bank of all the things that have influenced, created wonder, fear, love, sadness and anger which all play back in the cinema's of our minds. This is what the music video embodies and when we can see what’s truly important, it changes who we are and how we see the world.”
