Comic Relief – a UK charity committed to ending child poverty through entertainment – has launched this clever, tongue-in-cheek national campaign calling out public apathy towards child poverty.
Created by Quality Meats and directed by Brad Morris, the satirical initiative, titled Not Our Problem, spotlights ordinary people who proudly explain why childhood poverty simply isn’t their responsibility.
Viewers who share these sentiments are then directed to NotOurProblem.org – a completely fake organisation. Of course, while the characters are just actors, the excuses behind their performances are painfully real, highlighting their absurdity when spoken aloud.
