The ongoing effects of climate change are well-documented, but some of the most devastating aspects can be seen in the way it's changing remote ecosystems.
Throwing the spotlight on the situation and its impact on the polar bear population of Churchill, Manitoba (known as the Polar Bear Capital of the World), located 700 miles north of the US and Canada border.
Shadowing Dr. Steven Amstrup, Chief Scientist, and Alysa McCall, Director of Conservation Outreach/Staff Scientist, as they go about their work living alongside the bears, Stept Studios director Max Lowe's film is a chilling (no pun intended) yet heartfelt look at the animals' hunger and devastation, perfectly released to coincide with International Polar Bear Day, celebrated every February 27.
