This ground-breaking campaign, created by BMB and directed by Mary-Sue Masson, sees a text conversation unfolding, in real time, between four female friends as they learn to navigate an unexpected breast cancer diagnosis.
The series, which features a talented cast of British TV actors (Rakie Ayola, Kate Ashfield, Claudie Blakley and Indira Varma), is presented in the form of an interactive group chat, which viewers can scroll through at their own pace – a format which has never been used to tell a drama series before.
Through videos, images, and honest conversations informed by real stories and experiences shared by women with breast cancer, The Chat follows the chaos, heartbreak, and more joyful moments of daily life as the protagonist moves from diagnosis to treatment.
As the narrative unfolds, the characters mention and post links to the support Breast Cancer Now can offer, seamlessly weaving the charity into the fabric of the story.
