Ever feel like your life is repetitive? That you're trapped in a spiral? Is your head in a spin? Well, it could be because you're trapped in a zoetrope...
Taking the 19th-century animation concept and firmly 21st-century-ing it, BMB's first brand work for European mobility platform FREENOW sees a plucky protagonist shake off the rigour of the rotating model and break loose.
Using a similar style to Electric Theatre Collective's award-winning Cash In Cash Out music video, Free City is the first commercial to utilise an entirely CGI rendering of such a contraption; the digital complexity belied by a lovely tactile visual feel to the film's models and environments.
Brilliantly matching concept and creative - the looping nature of a zoetrope being both stylistic setting and consumer incentive - this smart and perfectly crafted spot left us in a whirl.
