Created by TBWA\Media Arts Lab and directed by Juan Cabral through MJZ, Apple’s holiday campaign, Share the Joy, highlights the fun that can be had with AirPod’s audio-sharing function.
Eschewing the usual chilly winter scenes of Christmas, the film is set on the sunny streets of Buenos Aires and is packed with South American exuberance.
Two bored friends are lolling about a café one afternoon when a song starts playing on one of their iPhones. Realising they can wirelessly connect and both have a listen they burst into an elated dance that sees them turn random objects around them into snow.
Set to the track PUFF, by Argentine producer Bizarrap and Belgian Argentine hip-hop artist Bhavi, the film stars dancers Vinson Fraley and Gal Zusmanovich and was choreographed by Belgian French choreographer Damien Jalet, famous for choreographing Paul Thomas Anderson’s and Thom Yorke’s short musical film, Anima.
The ad is Apple’s first global holiday campaign with an entirely Spanish-language anthem.
