Helmed by RSA Films director Prabs Wignarajah for End Violence Against Women Coalition – a leading collective of feminist organisations and experts in the UK – this hard-hitting campaign urges men to hold each other accountable in ending violence against women.
British actor Rhianne Baretto’s bold performance balances humour with a darker truth, using satire to challenge men to hold each other to account. By dressing up as different male characters and putting on silly voices, Baretto approaches the issue in a seemingly light-hearted way, but the impact is anything but.
The campaign, released ahead of International Women's Day, is a bold reminder of the importance of collective responsibility, preventing male violence through education and attitude change, rather than waiting to respond after women and girls are harmed.
Josie Juneau, MD, Ridley Scott Associates said: “We hope that our film helps EVAW in their vital work driving social change. Everyone has the right to exist in a public space free from the threat of male violence.”
