While emphasizing playfulness and performance, Apple's latest showstopper, Jump, makes movement an innate part of the landscape.
With theatricality and excitement, double Dutch athlete Kungo Sugino jumps through his neighborhood. He joins in on a children’s game and, when he finishes, the world transforms. Jump ropes are made out of unspooling neon lights, out of the shadows of telephone wires, out of the lines on a basketball court. The entire neighborhood becomes one never-ending game of double Dutch, wherever Sugino goes.
With sound design that is immersive and expansive, Jump takes us through a world that is both exclusive to Sugino and not of his making. TBWA\Media Arts Lab led the creative, while director Sam Brown, of Imperial Woodpecker, guided the talent through the fantastic, multi-media film.
