Can you spot the pink kitten? is the challenge posed by AMV BBDO in this fresh, fun and ultimately thought-provoking new spot for THINK!, the UK Department of Transport website.
Eshewing the shock tactics of previous campaigns, the film, directed by We Are From LA, dramatically slows down a 2.3 second sequence to highlight just how much you can miss when you use a mobile phone while driving.
As the action unfolds, we see multiple pink kittens within a typical London street scene - but the only one that's important is the cuddly version being held by a little girl crossing the road in front of the distracted driver.
Set to a slowed-down version of Aphex Twin’s Windowlicker, the ad is aimed at young drivers aged 17-24, a third of whom admit to checking their mobile while driving.
The film will run online, in cinemas, and on social media.
