Following her Olympic win at Rio last year for the 100m butterfly heat - where she formed part of the Olympic Refugee Team - the spot reveals the strength and determination that keeps Mardini going.

Smuggler director Bjorn Ruhmann retells snippets of Mardini's extraordinary story to capture how she made her way to Berlin from war-torn Syria. The ad focusses on Mardini's ability to channel her past experiences into her daily training, to propel her forward.
